Subject: Biathlon Race This Weekend

Lander Biathlon Club will be hosting three ski biathlon races this
winter; the first one will be this Sunday, January 11th.  These races
are all about having fun and learning about the sport of biathlon;
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.  However, if you have not participated in a
Lander Biathlon Safety clinic, you must pre-register by emailing at
xc_ski at hotmail.com or calling 406-570-3031 and leaving a message that
you plan on participating in the safety clinic.

Lander Biathlon Club will provide rifles, as regulation rifles are
necessary.  At this point, we are unable to accommodate racers under
the age of 13, and anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent or
guardian present to sign their release form.

If you are not interested in racing, but want to see what biathlon is
all about, we can always use volunteers to help us with timing and
scoring, just shoot me an email.

Lander Biathlon Range (at Beaver Creek Ski Area)

Men's Race Distance: 6 Km (three laps of the pipeline loop)
Women's Race Distance: 4 Km (three laps of the tree loop)

All of the following will take place at the biathlon range:
Registration 8:30-9:30
Safety Clinic: 8:30-9:00
Zero (Practice Shooting): 9 - 9:45 AM
Men's Race Start: 10 AM
Women's Race Start: 11 AM
Cost: $25.00
