I purchased the rifle off of http://gunbroker.com/ for $310.00, and then made all the parts to use it for biathlons.

Jay,

Were you able to purchase the rifle through the CMP? or is that only for junior competitions.

Will I know there are a few people that wanted to know about my Savage FVT build. I have it almost done, so I posted a picture of it on the "yahoo groups\Biathlon North America\photos\ -- Default Album -- ". I will be writing up some build documents shortly so those of you with this rifle will have some blue prints to follow if you choose.

This setup has not been tested under competition. I haven’t seen any differences in accuracy. The overall all weight it 7.5 lbs so it is still .2 lbs under weight. A snow cover an a modified butt plate should fix this lack of weight.

The write up will have plans for the clip holder, hand stop, and harness.
