[CBCmembers] belated thanks and the CBC 09/10 schedule

Hi CBCers,
  First of all, thanks to Brian, Julia, Bill and the other volunteers who
have packed the fall full of race, certification and coaching opportunities.
I'd also like to plug Excel Sports for their third year running of summer
race sponsorship. I hope this has mobilized the base, as it were, and that
folks are primed and ready for the snowy season.

  And speaking of that season, we have finally set our race schedule. We did
our best to avoid conflicts with other biathlon and Nordic race events, but
some overlap was unavoidable (February was an especially difficult month to
schedule). I hope this schedule will make the most people most happy.

December 19, 2009          "Fun" Relay
January 3, 2010                Sprint
January 16 &17, 2010        Mass start; 4-shoot
February 6 & 7, 2010         State Champs: sprint, pursuit
March 13, 2010                 Individual

  As always, we depend on volunteers to make these events happen. We are
continuing last year's policy of granting a season's worth of gratis entry
to anyone who serves as a dedicated (i.e. non-racing) Comp or Range Chief
for a single event or co-chiefs for two events. To get the ball rolling,
I'll be serving as Comp Chief for our Jan 3 Sprint and the Individual on
March 13 and I'd be happy to co-chief with anyone interested. Let me know if
you have any questions about what running a race entails or if you have
questions about the chief-for-a-day policy. Otherwise, sign up now for
chiefing those remaining races before it's too late (contact me or Brian).
Fame, fortune and supreme personal satisfaction await all our volunteers.
