Hi CBCers,<div><br></div><div> The official CBC race season starts this Sunday, January 3, with a Sprint race (and just in case you hadn't noticed, relay results are on-line at <a href="http://www.coloradobiathlon.org/results/">http://www.coloradobiathlon.org/results/</a>). On-line, pre-registration is available and encouraged; just follow the "<a href="http://active.com">active.com</a>" link from the event page on the CBC website (<a href="http://www.coloradobiathlon.org/schedule.html">http://www.coloradobiathlon.org/schedule.html</a>). On-line registration closes at 7:00PM Saturday night. As usual, we'll also have race-day registration at the range. In either case, be sure to pick up a trail pass at the Nordic center *before* you ski up to the range.</div>
<div><br></div><div> You'll notice that we'll be running an "A" wave and a "B" wave. The only difference between waves is the start time and I hope that racers in one wave will be available to help out with race logistics (scoring, target resetting etc) for those racing in the other wave and vice versa. For adult racers within a given wave, racers will race the distance appropriate to their category but results will be compiled across both waves (i.e., each race category will have a single rank-ordering). We'll divvy up racers and waves at the range as we hand out bibs.</div>
<div><br></div><div> Also, the staff at Snow Mountain Ranch are very busy these days and so our course flagging might be a bit thin (or non-existent). As a heads-up to you, dear racers, here are the courses we will be running:</div>
<div><br></div><div>Men will do three laps of the 3.25km course.</div><div>Women will do two laps of the 2.75km course (first and third lap) and one lap of the 2.2km course (it was either a slightly long race or a "more shorter" race---I opted for long thinking everyone will appreciate the added value of their entry fee)</div>
<div> </div><div>Youth Men and Youth Women will do three laps of the 2.2km course</div><div><br></div><div>Kids will do three laps of the 1km course.</div><div><br></div><div> If possible, we'll have the courses flagged Sunday morning and we'll announce course colors. But just in case we can't have the course flagged, STUDY THESE MAPS! (And thank you for your understanding.)</div>
<div><br></div><div> Please feel free to email me if you have any questions or concerns.</div><div><br></div><div>See you Sunday!</div><div>Walter, CBC President.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>
